It is closed, but people have been using it anyway. I heard that the people who parked on the side of the entrance road got tickets, so be careful. There is also camping off of Wright's Lake road, which is just a few miles back towards Kyburz.

I was there this weekend and was told by the bartender at the Strawberry Lodge that if we parked down by the bridge we wouldn't have any problems, so we did, and we didn't. There were some people parked up by the gate despite the very clear sign that says "no parking on either side." And people wonder why we have access issues. :roll:
Also, be aware that the outhouses are locked and the water is turned off at the campground.

Lovers leap is a Day Use area until the trees are removed that have been cut down due to fir engraver beatles. Bathrooms are open and the water is on.
