Hi there, I'm french and i'd like to discover the climbing in Squamish. I'll be travelling on my owm, so I'm looking for climbers partners. My holidays will be from July 25th to August 14th. Is there someone interested? If I have no positive reply from you, is Squamish a good place to find climbing partners? Just have to wait now.... Cheers Patrick

The Squamish population swells with climbers each summer. It's easy to find partners by checking at the Squamish Hostel, wandering around the boulders or Smoke Bluffs, or even going to Starbucks on a sunny morning.

Patrick, you'll love Squamish... it's a beautiful (c'est beau?) area with amazing routes. I've climbed there every summer for 5 years. (I live in Florida, USA but grew up in BC.) It's likely that I'll be there for the week of July 25. Let me know about your climbing... how hard do you climb trad? I have a full rack and lead up to 5.9... maybe 10, but no higher. Be happy to get together with you if it works out. Regards, Gordon

Hi Gordon, I climb about 5.10 something. But climbing easier routes will work too as I am not really acquainted to cracks. I also have gears but more won't be too much! I have finally booked for 4 weeks, I'll arrive in Vancouver on July 19th and I'll leave on August 13th. So if you're around there will manage to climb together. See you, Patrick
