SoCalers:

Since the Williamson thread seems to be loosing steam, I thought I'd start this ongoing thread for groups and partners in the Southern California area.

So, where's everyone going this weekend?

I'm headed with some friends to Williamson on Saturday if anyone wants to join. Then I'm headed for Tahquitz on Sunday. Cheers, Terry

Eyecannon,
I don't have a partner or destination for the weekend, but I do have a car and live in Santa Monica. Let me know if you want to climb somewhere.

I got my ass kicked today at Williamson... I had a really off day, took 1 huge whipper on a 10b that I've flashed before, and took about 3 other decent falls on this other 10b that I was trying for the first time. Apparently, I was working on my face plants today as I slammed my nose directly into the wall. :(

I had fun climbing with wizard and snoopy today for the first time, and I even vaguely got to meet Jay!

I will now go lie down and recover...

Was that you over toward the left side of stream wall when you fell? Saw some dude take a good 20 footer today... didn't look like he was very far above his last clip either. Not sure what happened, but it was a bit scary!

Got a few climbs in myself before having to head back to San Diego. Nothing too hard, but had a lot of fun.

Yeah that was probably me  Sad part is I OSF'd that the other week :p

Actually, the fall was alot worse than it should of been since my belayer decided to get up and move and stop paying attention at the instant that I fell... he bought be some whiskey and beer at Newcomb's though, so I forgive him :)

Since there are a bunch of these threads in other Forums that flooded the Front Page, we created the ability to remove the ability of a thread to echo the Front Page. This thread is not goping to echo the Front Page, but still functions the same within it's Forum.

You forgot to mention also getting your ass kicked on the hike back up the steep way for the first time. ;)

Great climbing with you guys. I plan to be back there Saturday again.

Haha it wasn't too bad... the main problem is that backpack I have which sucks ass and is super uncomfortable. I'm going to invest in something much nicer which properly distributes the weight to my hips instead of my shoulders/neck/back.

I'm no big fan of Williamson on Saturday or Sunday, it's just too crowded... Friday (or any weekday) is so much more fun!
