Hi, I'm visiting Calgary from August 9-12, and I want to get my groove on at Lake Louise or Canmore. Read my profile for my experience and climbing ability. Single pitch is fine, but I'd really like to try multi-pitch. I'm looking for someone who's free on either the 10th or 11th of August. Preferably someone who doesn't mind it if we use their gear, but I can bring my rope and gear if necessary. I've been looking at guiding services and their prices are astronomical! Please don't make me hire a guide! Derek dtong88@yahoo.com

I read your profile .. but there is nothing in it. I will be around those days, but am not sure if I will be able to climb since my wifes friend is getting married that weekend, and I am sure she will have me running around getting stuff ready.

If you thin you may be free, I'd love to get out with you. If you can't make it, do you know anyone who may want to partner up with me? Climbing ability: I sport lead 5.11b/c, trad around 5.7 (not much experience tradding), and I've never multi-pitched more than two pitches before. I've 40 days of outdoor experience on limestone and sandstone. Thanks for replying!

Just wanted to thank Biff for his warm welcome to Alberta and a great day climbing Cardiac Arete. He ended up leading 3 of the 4 pitches and did a great job. Not to mention choosing an awesome route, with a true alpine approach! Kman, sorry that I didn't get a chance to PM you.
