How does one rap down to the base of the Vampire? I would like to climb The Vampire and Field of Dreams without doing the long hike back to the base.

There's a rap station at the top, but you'll proabably have to leave gear on the intermediate pitches. Let me know if you do so I can go booty it :)

I'm originally a sport climber. The idea of lugging my shoes up the climb, descending the slabs, then climbing back up the gully doesn't excite me -- I prefer to spend my time climbing.

(Answering my own post) Here are 2 ways to do it: a) 60m rope: from the top of The Vampire Direct Finish rap down to P2 of The Vampire, then down to Vampire ledge (exactly 100 feet). b) 70m rope: from new chain right of the end of Field of Dreams rap down to P3 of Happy Hooker, then down to Vampire Ledge.
