I'm Viola from Terengganu, working at Klang. Actually, I have never climb once, but I really want to try it. Any suggestions for a new-bird?

tamanehsan..i think if viola has never climbed before, it isn't advisable to go straight to batu caves unless u go with someone that has gear and experience

the indoor gym summit is a good place to start, bring a partner along...you'll need someone to belay you.

summit has decent enough instructors that guide you thru the basic safety pointers and climbing techniques.

Anyone goes to or works at summit?

well...I can say to you that go find a partner that wouldn't mind climbing. drag him or her along and get an instructor.

i climb at summit a lot, cos' it's one of the only indoor gyms we have around here. (the new one in Genting is supposedly quite good but pricey)

used to work at summit, but it's more fun just climbing.

viola: do get a partner and go to summit, you'll be able to rent all your gear there
