I just spent the first two weeks in June wandering those bumps you've got in Colorado-- and dancing at Telluride. It must have been the elevation because I came back swearing I'd live my life in that high country if I could earn a living. But you're a Front Range woman and I'm a Sangre de Cristo kinda guy. I don't know if there's any hope?
PS Anyone who uses 'anacreontic' has to be allright.

Yeah, we've had a lot of storms this year. What are you doing for Labor Day? Wanna see me learn to do keg stands?
What are your climbing prefs? Any problems with spending a weekend of cheap thrills including clipping bolts, bouldering, and horrifying a man named Curt? There are trad routes to be had as well, but I cant do much alpine right now. (long story)
When you commented on anacreontic, I assumed that you knew what the word meant. If so, did you already know this, or did you have to google the word to discover its meaning?

The week after Labor Day I have been thinking about spending in MT, Glacier NP. Clipping bolts? I like it enough when in Vantage, Skaha, SMith, City of Rocks or Castle ROck. Bouldering: "Bouldering is like masturbation: not as good as the real thing but you don't need to worry about your protection." — Scott Grimes & David Kastrup. I don't mind horrifying Curt; does he puke? And for the best of nerdiest: I couldn't quite figure out the word from its greek roots so I googled. But do do you need to google 'philidoxes'? Because we are quickly becoming ones.
. . . I'm off to land of bbq's and booze. Being clear headed while I climb is confusing. Stop by Vantage tomorrow; it's only an 18 hour drive. Meet you at 'cardiac arrest' 4:00 PM. :roll:

There will be much debauchery around Flagstaff for Labor Day weekend. You should come out.
I'll see you at Cardiac Arrest tomorrow. I usually run about 15 minutes late, so I'll aim for 3:30-3:45p.

Say, anydude, how exactly do your friends feel about you posting their phone numbers on the World Wide Web? Oh wait... they don't know, do they? If any "friend" of mine ever did that to me, I would hand him his ass in literal fashion. Why not do your friends a favor and delete that shit now?

i like this amber chick, and all of her questions where good climbing related and important.btw rack size does matter but even more importantly is reducing the size and taking only the gear you'll need for the given route, too much extra weight sucks, not enought gear sucks worse.

In my defense: What else is there to do at 4:30 in the morning in downtown Denver than strip and swim the playpark? And in defense of the City of Rocks mini-epic: As Getout started his rappell(stating "F!%K this rock, I'm getting out of here"), the driving rain turned to hail and lightening. For twenty minutes I wondered if he was dangling like a shishkabob just over the edge. What's a little 30 minute hailstorm among friends?

That pony was real. You speak so bold only because you have the video of that trip. Besides, how many of the climbers on this site have taken a ride on that pony. You mock all of us.
