I´m from Brazil, and will be at RRG at the end of september. I would like to know about nice sport routes on there. Could be from 5.10 to 5.12b, but what I really want is the classical routes, nice routes, beautiful and easy to do on sight (big holds). I dont know either if its easy to get leaders on there. Thanks anyway for reading this. Henrique

Twinkie for sure. If you are an overhanging sportclimbing bad@ss, you must not miss the Motherlode or Motherload, whichever it is. Oooooooh man. This is THE hard sport area in The Red. Totally amazing, one-of-a-kind place. Of course, if you have the inclination and skills, borrow a rack when you get there and try a trad climb or two. The Red has much to offer. -Kate.

Creature Feature is a lot of fun, and you can take trad gear with you and continue it for a second pitch. Definately check out RRGCC.org , though. Oh, and make sure you pop into Miguel's for bite of pizza and Ale-8-1 . . . mmmm, Ale-8-1 . . . also a great place to pick up a partner.

if your looking for a fun place to spend the afternoon climbing and you dont feel like doing a ton of walking check out military wall. its mostly sport and there are a ton of mega fun climbs (5.9-5.12) realy close together. only prollem you might have to wait in line but there are enough climbs there it shouldnt realy be a factor. if your looking for a partner that weekend give a yell and ill see if i can make it down. later all

Thanks a lot everybody, like I see, I think that I cant miss Twinkie, Motherload and Creature Feature, am I right? Ill try to find more of them inside the site. Its nice to see good people helping each other, if you need some information of Brazil climbing , just ask, ok? Another doubt, why everybody which speaks about RRG say to go to Miguel´s? I think this guy is amazing...

There's also plenty of easy fun climbs on Roadside crag, and if you get out early or go during the week, you won't have to worry about crowds. On Roadside, A.W.O.L. is a classic and awesome 10, and then Kampsite is a beautiful and long 9. If you're bringing a Trad rack, you really ought to do Roadside Attraction, which is an off-width 7, and probably over 100ft long. Miguel's Pizza is the name of the local climbing hangout/camping area/pro shop/restaurant. Miguel does own the place and you'll see him plenty if you spend any time there. He is a great guy, very friendly and helpful. But the real ambiance of Miguel's is the crowd that stays there. Awesome place. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep. ;-) My husband and I climbed sport and trad in the Red for years, feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

Henrique The online comprehensive guide at http://www.redriverclimbing.com/RRCGuideV2/. Use the advanced search function to find what you are exactly looking for. In the big horken textbox put: "order wall" (or "sort wall" I can't remember which now) and that only and you'll have it sorted by wall. Makes it easier since the Red covers a huge area (see http://www.redpointdesign.com/rrg/rrg_map_040427a.pdf for a general map of the red with major crags). If the weather holds you'll have a blast with that range of sport routes. If not you'll have a blast at Miguel's waiting for it to clear. [edit]And if you hook up with me you can be my rope gun![/edit]

I suppose to be in a hotel with my wife - we don’t know which for sure - and I’ll be glad to climb with you, my friends. I just don’t know how to meet you there. Ill keep on touch.
