Such a question puts me in disbelief.............. if there are any bolted routes it would just be a small sectionof the route, you will probably never find a full bolted route on the diamond.

if a routes bolted, i'll climb it. if it's not don't want it bolted, especilly on the diamond. i might not climb trad, but i respect/envy/admire those who do, and i think bolting a trad route just because you're to scared to trad is shamefull. if i want to play in their world i'm gonna play by their rules. in fact i'm almost glad to here that the diamond isn't bolted. but the oppertunity to flame me for the stupid question is still out there.

Well, shit... since you're asking to be flamed and nobody's taken you up on it... Hey you big pansy, maybe climbing some overbolted choss-pile with a 1 minute approach is a little more your style. Better yet, why don't you stay in the gym incase it rains?? Better yet, why don't quite climbing and do something a little tamer. Hell, become a freakin' "boulderer"!! My dog has 3 legs and is blind out one eye, but still has more guts than you and will outclimb your fat-ass anyday. I'll put money on it. He asked for it...

Is it that you don't climb ANY trad, or are simply worried about the harder section on a long climb? If it's the latter, I believe the Casual Route is also bolted at the hardest 10a section. That leaves the requirement to be able to trad climb up to 9 to make this route doable. But I'm completely sure about that. Maybe others can confirm.

I didn't suggest the murder of the impossible, just a bit of manslaughter or aggravated battery. And was tongue in cheek at that. Go take a couple of deep breaths or treat yourself to a large order of Freedom Fries.

And actually Everyone I know thinks the "crux" isn't the .10a section.... josh Sort of...I've climbed this pitch 3 times over the past 4 years and every time, there's been multiple fixed nuts (the same ones every time, far as I can tell) right at the crux. So, you probably won't be required to actually place your own gear. But suffice it to say that you better be leading plenty of 10a trad if you want to do the Casual.
