I live in San Diego and the weather is alway's ripe for climbing year round, but for some unknown reason I'm alway's thinking build a wall! Maybe just because...help me should I or should I just get out there and climb? Seeking advice

I definitely don't think it is such a bad idea! If there isn't any indoor climbing venues close by, GO FOR IT!! I do most of my training after 9 o'clock at night, so for me (if I were to come to San Diego) it would be very beneficial. Since I'm sitting here in sunny South Africa, my opinion probably doesn't mean much. I just think that everybody who works during the day, can only climb over weekends, so give them the opportunity to be able to climb every day! You cannot go wrong! I live in Tucson, Arizona where the weather is almost never too bad to climb. I have a bouldering wall in my yard. It is definitely worth it. I can climb whenever I want... hey, I was on it at 3 this morning (try going to the gym at 3am ) There's no way to get out to the crags everyday, unless that's all you ever do. Go for it!

It's a great place to introduce others to the sport. When people come to my house and I am showing them around, I am always the most excited to show them the attic where I have a pretty sweet wall. It's amazing how many people get hooked.

I am actually planning to buil a wall also, looking for info on that is how i got to this forum, my idea is to go for a bouldering adjustable angle wall. There are no gyms in my city and therefore the only training i can get is in a common weightlifting gym. If anyone has got any ideas that could help me go ahead and mail me.
