Is there any bouldering on Pinnacle Peak? I don't think there is, but I'm just curious. Is there any bouldering on Troon Mountain or on Pinnacle's Lower East Wall???

In reply to: Is there any bouldering on Pinnacle Peak? I don't think there is, but I'm just curious. Is there any bouldering on Troon Mountain or on Pinnacle's Lower East Wall??? There is (was) some nice bouldering at Pinnacle Peak, but I believe it is illegal to boulder there now. I think the same goes for troon Mountain. Your best bet in the area is to hike into the McDowell Mountains from the north parking area. There is some scattered bouldering in there that is good. Curt

There is some bouldering out toward Little Granite Mt. by the power lines (A short drive from Pinnacle Peak). I would avoid bouldering at Pinnacle Peak. The PPP have posted a sign that says "No Climbing on Rocks". Lower East Wall is closed because some rich a$$hole bought the rights to the land. He's the same person that caused Pinnacle Peak to be closed for about 10 years.
