This photo was taken in a cold late february afternoon. This place is called Siuranella Sur with plenty of sun all the day. Incredible corners, cracks, butresses, and slighty overhanging slabs are the tonic of this sector.

This is me climbing Cor Petit, a sandbagged 5.12a in Siurana. The route starts off a raised ledge, high above the valley and feels quite exposed despite its modest height. Photo by Kayte Decker.

My last route in Siurana. The perfect parting gift from the perfect climbing trip. Delicatessen was a serene cooldown from a month of throwing myself at harder climbs. Photo by Kayte Decker.

Even if you didn't climb in Siurana, it's worth a visit... On the left you can see the picturesque Siurana village with a great refugio and campsite. The valley on the right is the home for one of the hardest sport routes in the world - La Rambla F9a+. Watch the vid with Ramon Julian climbing it! http://www.desnivel.com/tus_paginas/videos/ramonrambla.php

I was walking up from one of the crags at siuarna and stopped long enough to take about 50 shots. The clouds were amazing, and this is my favorite one.

After a fantastic climbing day, Nick and I wandered around the village, had a drink, and chilled out on this sunny slab, complete with a welcoming tree of "meditation." Taken by Nick Smith.
