I would have to say if you don't know what to charge for a pass, you could not be doing any more than thinking about this as a dream. I imagine you don't have even the slightest clue what it would take to build and staff such a facility. The troll-o-meter is ticking... I say T2

seriously though, i would guess that the reason that making an xtreme sport theme park is not feasible as how many family gathering or outings that actually involves sports or any physical activities at all ?? just look at people that go to disney land :) But make it like a gym ...... Indoor ICE CAVE and ICE WALL !!! below http://www.ice-factor.co.uk/our-facilities.html

In reply to: am i missing anything ?? Yes. 1 ATV course, with 3 levels of difficulty a la ski run ratings. If you do not have enough broken glass, shotgun casings and burnt-out mattresses to authentically decorate the course, please ask any New Jack City local to bring you a few. 1 fishing pond, stocked with inbred trout 1 recording studio 1 midway arcade. Please include skee ball, a shooting gallery, and those races where you squirt the water gun into the clown's mouth to blow up the water balloon the fastest. Those are so cool. 1 Starbucks 1 opium den Make the 5.10 Dragon the rental climbing shoe of choice, install a monorail for easy transportation from one land to another, and staff your facility with Oompa Loompas. All Oompa Loompas must be for sale- I WANT AN OOMPA LOOMPA NOOOOOOOOOOW, DADDY!! You should name it Xanadu (Rose... bud...) and charge $39.95 for a day pass, or for $59.95, you could hawk an ExtremeMountainDew Adventure Pass, which allows the bearer admission to both your theme park and mine, which will feature a 24-screen multiplex that screens every bad bouldering vid ever made, a library stocked only with Hot Flashes from the past 5 years, a simulated version of Mt. Everest's Hillary Step, a combination yoga studio/Subaru dealership, and a Burger King. That is all.

It sounds like a millionaire investment so maybe the fare could be like 100 bucks. Here in Monterrey for a gym like that it costs you 200 bucks a month! and 1800 Usd for the membership! So I don't know if it gonna worth it

    that sound immense. maybe you could spare little space and insted of a bouldering wall make a few free standing boulders and a bouldering cave??? that would be a dream. or if you MUST have a bouldering wall, install some hidraulics so you can change the angle. but IMHO its better to have free standing boulders (about 5 9x9x9ft ones should do, more and bigger would be better) also make sure youve got good showers. maybe even buold a souna for members.

Something similar is actually slated to be completed in Charlotte, NC in the next few years. It's mainly a whitewater park with an artificial river (olympic training), but there's supposed to be a big phat climbing facility and a mt. bike park. Some logistical details can be found here: http://www.charmeck.org/_News/County/park081203.htm The project is headed by a non-profit organization, and is at least partially funded with public money. Estimated cost of construction $21.5 million, but as anyone who has worked in outdoor rec administration can tell you, the overall cost will be higher... much higher. j_ung PS - I had a little business idea, too. There are places where you can go - with little to no experience - to shoot things, climb things swim in things, skate on things and many other types of recreation, soooooooo... What if there was a place you could go to blow sh_t up?! Just think of it... An explosives expert wires all of the tnt for you, then you get to push the plunger! Woo-hoo! It could have a big concrete/plexiglass bunker, so you could be right near the action. There could be warm-up activities, like smashing watermelons with sledgehammers (a la Gallagher), or dropping baked ham into pools of acid or... or... piranhas... yeah! Birthday parties! Corporate teambuilding! The possibilities are endless!

good idea, but you are missing a few things.............let me help you...... 1). An IMAX theater, complete reclining-rumble seats 2). A runway large enough to accomadate corporate jets of any size, large hangers, control tower, etc. 3). A bigger Wave pool 4). A driving range 5). 9 hole executive golf course 6). Large corporate mansion complete with pool tables, ping pong tables, origional Pac-Man arcade game, and putting and chipping green outside- beside the patio/full service bar 7). A lake stocked with largemouth bass and catfish. complete with boating dock, unlimited number of wave runners (weak jet-skis are unacceptable) and ramps, rails and jumps for wakeboarders, waterskiiers and kneeboarders alike 8). 18 Hole championship mini-golf course 9). 2 seperate skate parks. One composed of concrete only, another composed of wood and metal ramps. Concrete water slide for longboarders would be an excellent touch 10). Ski-resort complete with 19 trails and 4 lifts and snowboard park 11). Olympic size swimming pool with 1 meter and 3 meter spring boards, and platform diving. Movable bulk-head in pool to accomadate such things as water polo and short-course swimming events 12). 3 rollercoasters. One wooden rollercoaster that would be sure to upset the spinal cord of any theme-park-extremeist. One steel rollercoaster where riders hang from the track, feet dangling, loops are good but not a must. One more steel rollercoaster with 300 foot, 90 degree initial drop, followed by 17 gut-wrenching loops. Top speeds should reach around 95 mph +/- 5 mph. Bumper Cars would be a nice touch too.
