It's ironic some of RC.coms longest running users would meet in the beginner forum..... noobs. BTW reading some of the initial posts was good even if it was a resurrection, Food for thought for a problem of my own right now. Thanks.

The adventure continues. Thanks for driving, LS!
Sure was a beautiful spring day.
Must.. get… DONUTS!
Cuz we’re trad, duh!
The scene of the crimes
I had back surgery in December. Some 4 months later I’m beginning to fire on 3 out of 4 cylinders again.
Good belayers, good rock, good times
And how about those stoned cowboys
Don’t try this at home
You may get BUCKED.
Noobs!
Boobs.
The girl can climb crack btw.
So can Angus. This is the 28th season as partners, for ole Angus and I.
I can still pull down, beyond all reasonable expectation.
And can manage a small runnout or two
So long as I don’t fall!
No problemo.
LS cranking her life away.
There is a ray of hope after all.
Even the sun smiles back at LS!
Form.
Spent a lot of time at this place over the last quarter century.
This is April in the Central Valley of California. Don’t hate us, August is coming!
DMT ps. Don't give up LS!!!!

Well the adventure continues dudinit? How about a little Chipmunk Flat action?
LS volunteers for the sharp end.
Its a bit of a run to the first placement. Well there's a lower one well off to the side but it introduces significant rope drag later on so she opted to skip it.
Hmmm, what now?
Big cam, of course!
Clip! Ah..... safe for now!
She led this route once before.
At this point the route trends up right to continue with the wider cracks. It becomes very easy after one move to enter the upper cracks. Its a good, moderate/easy climb.
But she didn't go that way, on that fated first lead.
No she went this way, opting for a thin crack, dirty-looking crack. She had no small cams that day, long story short when you tell your partner 'I'll bring the rack" he assumes you mean THE WHOLE RACK, lol. Well, she wanted it, she got it! A bit of a meltdown she said. But you know what? She got up that thing clean after fiddling in some wanky nuts.
Well this time she floated it. Small cams included! :D
Nice view of SPH Valhalla from the belay ledge.
Well done LS! WELL DONE!
So what's next?
Sometimes this game of ghosts will bring a tear to your eye, nawmean?
Back at camp?
Many TALL tales were told
So two days later our gang found ourselves in the same vicinity
And I foolishly asked LS if she minded belaying me on her route. The reason I was stoked to lead it is that when I followed her lead the previous time? I felt a bit, um, tenuous, shaky even. So I wanted to reconcile those feelings on the sharp end.
Well guess what? I got up the thing. I also fell at the crux!
And my partners soon followed.
Scuffy liked it.
LS was happy to arrest my plummet.
The descent involves a bit of 4th class down climbing.
We finished the afternoon top roping some slab.
Led me up a crack. Caught my fall when I tried to repeat her 'feet.' The she drove me home. What's not to love?
Noobs can't climb!
Thanks LS! DMT
