More Info:
My first outdoor trip was in December of 2002. I was a gym rat for about 6 months prior to that. Before that I was a sedentary, overweight, 1.5 pack-a-day smoker. Climbing might be a little dangerous, but my lifestyle back then was definitely going to kill me.

I'm still not the greatest athlete. You probably won't find me working 5.12 sport routes. Give me a nice, long, multipitch 5.5-5.7 trad route and I'm happy. I love the mental aspect of placing the gear and stuff.

Still, I work out regularly and I'm gradually getting stronger and improving technique. Hopefully I'll start pushing the grades again eventually. Right now my goal is to finish leading a list of easy trad routes at Moore's Wall here in NC. That will probably keep me busy for awhile.
