I'm definitely down for a little Red Rocks action! I'm gonna be in Vegas anyways (to take a firefighter test) so might as well make the most of it.

Furthermore, I'll be introducing him to the evils of RR sandstone in late April, when both of our (non-work related) schedules match. Of course geo will never read this post, so I'm planning ahead to give him all the run out leads on friable flakes. :wink:

All I can say is that Vegas is only good for the buffets on a climbing trip to Red Rocks. We tried in vain to do it all, but after a day in Black Velvet Canyon and in the Prince O' Darkness's company, we could barely make it to the boulders for a sunset session before collapsing in a heap of dirt and chalk, absolutely spent. So in a nutshell, Vegas is good for either a climbing trip or a partying trip but to do both will make you feel like the week you took off from work was like bringing work with you.

What's the camping situation like out there? I've heard you can't call and reserve sites. Is anyone planning on camping? I'll either be bivying in the dirt (ahhhhhhh) or sleeping in my truck but need a place where I can rest my head w/out getting accosted by rangers in the middle of the night. Hmmmm, sounds like RMNP. Anyway, if anyone's willing to let me and possibly one other chick (I'll add that she's a hot chick if that helps my cause) crash on your plot, I'll share the expenses. We may have something else lined up but I'm anal and want to have a plan b just in case.
