Lazlo wrote: #3) "I'm a climber." This would be te_h ghey. Some inuendo might be okay, though like sty sez they are mostly all clichéd now. Big jugs look good on a 5.9 so spread your legs and trust the rubber? Or there could be an inside joke - I'd say one but I'm not in on any of them.

trouble with climbing shirts, is that if you wear one, people come up and say things like, "oh my god, you climb!!!?! like, wow, rocks and stuff??!?!! isn't that so dangerous?? like, i totally climbed once, on this wall at camp..."

I made a shirt with iron ons once. It said "Belay Bitch" and had an arrow pointing to the side.

I just had a motherfucking epiphany. Make this shirt and I'll buy one. Start with this but instead of a cowbell, you've got a #11 hex!!! It's motherfucking brilliant. I just paid for your second divorce, you can thank me later.

I've already done the basic design with a wired hex and have a rough estimate for a 20 shirt order. d.

It is a good idea. I slapped up some art and went to post it to ask "How's this" and see you have dlinz offering to make. So - he can do it for you then, but if for whatever reason it don't come down, get back to me and let me know if you want any changes on this art. It's not a big deal to draw the cord instead of wire as well. Damned ole schoolers.....

Happiegrrrl, it looks like you traced one of the standard pics of a BD hex but I like that better than the JPEG I used in my design. Go ahead and run with it although I'd suggest rotating the image 90 degrees clockwise (I thought it looked best that way on my design). As long as you don't use those cheap extra-long, heavy cotton t-shirts I'll definitely buy one. d.

I always loved the old Kinnaloa shirts, half for the genuine sentiment and half for the mockery of the silly poseurs with "No Fear" logos: "Know Fear." Brian

....okay. Here is the change to cord and a little beefier text.
I prefer the orientation as is, because it is the way a person would be setting the piece en route, and has an "active/positive energy" graphics-wise. Subliminal crap, like when they say always have the belayer in the picture actually looking at the leader to add a sense of engagement. If Angry has any changes he wants, I'll make those for him and then finish the job and post the link so people can find it. The shirt types are as on the other pages of my shop. Click on the link in my signature, or or quicker by clicking one of the links to the photos I posted upthread, so see what is available. There are several styles/qualities and I will pretty much put the design on them all so people could choose which they prefer. I have tested many of the styles and they are pretty decent quality. The organic cotton shirt is particularly nice and has a cream color as opposed to stark white. The good news is that CafePress has an excellent customer satisfaction policy, so if you get it and it sucks, or is the wrong size or just not what you expected, you can get an exchange or credit or refund. There will be a black on white in many of the styles, but I will also make different print colors on colored shirts(tan print on dark brown, or navy print on light blue shirt for example), and you can get an idea as to that by looking at other designs in my shop, like this page: http://www.cafepress.com/climbaddict/5649523

I've always been a fan of the Gendarme shirts that read, "If you die, we split your gear."

So....after you sell 8 shirts to the Gunks crowd, what're you going to do with all the remaining ones? (just kidding) Wouldn't it make more sense for the design to have a couple slung Hexes hanging downward, however? (i.e., their orientation when they're clanging around on the n00bs' harnesses?) 'If a Hex swings around on a rack, and has no other Hexes to bang into, does it still make a sound?" -Confucius

happiegrrrl wrote: "I Climb Therefore I Am" as the original CAMHEAD, I claim copyright infringement! Actually, I always thought that someone needs to do a shirt with the PETZL logo that says instead: "PRETZL." Oh, and the shirt that Angry used to have that simply said "BELAY BITCH-->"
