I started climbing with my mom and her then boyfriend when I was about 8 years old. Life during that time consisted of late night drives to Smith, early morning snow dusted climbs, and of course the memorable $.05 packs of care-free gum sold by the dirtbag in the parking lot.
I'm 26 now and still love to climb, especially here in uncrowded Alaska! I prefer moderate trad and adventure climbing (which constitutes the bulk of AK climbing) but also enjoy sport, bouldering and aid when prudent.
Aside from climbing, I like to do just about anything involving human power in the outdoors. This seems to be a problem as I never have enough money to fund so many activities, so I try to limit myself to
