Sierra Nevada? Ok, then I'll bring some good beer. I'll be leaving the SF bay area early Monday morning. Does anyone need a ride? I can only take one plus gear (small car).

Looks like my time off is when everyone else is going home (nov.18-23). Who is planning on staying later? DOes anyone want to carpool from Orange County on the 18th or 19th? I can seat five in my jeep cherokee. Let me know. Michael [ This Message was edited by: socaliforniaclimber on 2002-11-09 10:03 ]

I,m at the 13 mile campground. There is a free group site from monday 11th on, 25$, limited to 10 cars. A site on the campground costs 10$ for 2 cars. So if there are at least 6 cars, it is better on a group site. And maybe it"s more fun. I check the forum tomorrow, if at least 5 guys agree, I reserve a group site for 7 days. Hannes If you come earlier, I'm staying at site 12, black van with ski.

add me for the group site too. (if its still possible) as long as the weather holds out this week, RR should be dry enough, right? and socalclimber: I could possibly be up for staying a day or so later, I'll know more next week here.. [ This Message was edited by: ride on 2002-11-10 16:06 ]

I'll stay around as long as anyone else wants to climb. I'll arrive Nov. 11 or 12. I repeat my earlier recommendation to meet at the Gallery or elsewhere as a group. I doubt everyone will want to meet at 6 AM! How about meeting at the campsite each evening at a set time, to organize for the next day? Anyone weeking a partner PM me or call me at 407-963-6515. Actually to clear a bit of things up: There IS plenty of time for long routes. Just bring a head lamp, and call ahead to get the late exit permit. It's free, all you do is call, and you should do it even if you are 100% sure you won't exit late. We are TRAD climbing here people. Sh!t does happen. You don't want to be stuck with a $50 ticket that you have to split with your partner instead of getting paid back for the pitchers of beer you bought in the Valley the summer before (my story). Also, meeting at 6am is the way to go. If people don't want to meet at 6am, then they don't have to, but to be on the safe side you should so you can get on something big then get back to the car before December. It is like a 15 minute ride from the gate to the long stuff, so you have plenty of time to rub the sleep out of your eyes and start a quadruple espresso drip into your cubital vein. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POST THAT LATE EXIT PERMIT NUMBER. I don't have it on me right now. I will be there from Thursday noon (cat in the hat) until sunday night. I want to get on Crimson and maybe something harder but wouldn't mind doing Olive Oil and Geronimo in a day with people who can climb fast. I will be in a hotel because my boss that I'm going with has a timeshare there. I may be able to let people stay in my room (he and another guy are in a separate room) if he's cool with it. I don't see it being a problem. Call me and we can try to work something out. TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag 909 800 5537 after 9pm please b/c I am already 129 min over until 11/15/02 [ This Message was edited by: addiroids on 2002-11-10 21:02 ]

If people want to meet whenever it is really up to them. I am coming to trad climb and so are quite a few others. If anyone wants to climb at the gallery go for it there are plenty of people usually around that area.

looks like (right now) we got a 10% chance (oh sheit ) of rain on fri, sat, and sun. and the wind is NE @ 13mph (hope that stops) I'm up for doing some longer routes with someone, I can lead moderate trad. I'm an early riser so I have NO problems leaving for routes b4 6am. I'm planning on leaving thursday morning, and have 1 other in my car but there is possibly room for one more, PM me if you think you might need a ride from SO cal area (i'm in ventura and picking up someone in claremont) Oh and anyone want to go in on some g00dies for the trip?

Some stuff came up and it looks like I'm not going to make it. Still a slight possibility for this weekend, but I kinda doubt it. Sorry to miss the chance to climb with you guys!

Heya folks, My regular partner is going to be out of town this weekend. If I can get psyched for the drive and find a solid partner, I was thinking of heading out. I'll lead to 11- on the long routes out there on a good day. Here's a list of routes I'm interested in: Epinephrine (9, ~18p) Dream of Wild Turkeys / Yellow Brick Road (10a, ~10p) Eagle Dance (10c, ~10p) Black Orpheus (10a, ~10p) Levitation 29 (11b, ~8p) Ixtlan (11c, 3p) Triassic Sands (10c, 3p) If you're interested in hooking up for a couple of long routes let me know. I'd prefer to find a partner who can solidly lead to at least low 10 trad, and who can book on easier terrain. I can be out there by mid-morning friday and stay through early the next week. Best to PM me. josh [ This Message was edited by: pbjosh on 2002-11-12 12:35 ]

I'm staying in Vegas for a while. I'll look for you guys. I will be climbing a little bit everywhere. Long routes and sport routes. I have a white and orange Chevy van (you can't miss it, just look for the Scooby Dooesque van) with WA plates. If you see me around, stop by to say hi. My cell # is 206-660-5965. Cheers, Wes

for thoes of you looking at doing all the real classics be preparied to wait and or have company on the wall. I will be out at the gate around 6am Friday to find a partner for some moderate trad climbing. Please call me if you are interested in doing some of the less popular routes( but just as good)up to 5.8 trad. I have lots of local knowledge and can lead trad. Really would like to do a multi pitch route that isn't too long. There are some great routes in first creek canyon and you can hike up to the walls anytime you want because it isn't on the loop road.( save $5 too) my # is 233-2951 and my name is Fran. Really hope to hear from somebody.
