Keep those emails coming. I want to get everyone connected in this group so everyone can contact one another easily, so keep sending those emails guys. It is too hard to PM everyone separately. Send them to me at rokshoxbkr18@cs.com Thanks all

Why do you need everyone's email addy? That's the point of this thread! Just let everyone know when and where on here, and I promise the PMs will start coming your way. So don't make it harder than it is.

I'm going to Wilkes Rocks Tuesday night (20th) with a bunch of climbing buddies if anybody is looking for something to do...

Rwaltmeyer, everyone is entitled to their view. I have had something like 10 PM's from people asking me to get an organized email system going so I am doing it. If something is posted on page 10 and we are on page 15, people might miss it. The idea of a mass email is for people to get in contact with people very easily and very quickly. So far, everyone else seems to like it. I am certainly not in charge here nor do I hope anyone will ever be. This is just to make things easier and more fun. If you don't want to give me your email, by all means don't. No problem. Furthermore, no one has to give me their email if they don't want to. The whole idea of this was to just be relaxed and meet more new people in a chill way. Please don't ever think I am telling people what to do, or forcing my ideas on anyone. I will go back and revise my request for emails as I can see how it might be viewed as forceful. I agree that most things can get viewed on this thread, but this email thing is just another means by which to contact one another and spread ideas and good news.

Gblauer had mentioned a possible event at a gym. Perhaps an overnight party where we rent the gym for the night. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter???

I'm going to be bouldering (or attempting to boulder...*grin*) at PRG this week today and Thursday. I'll be there both days probably around 4-4:30 (they open at 4) so if anyone is looking to climb, feel free to stop by. PM me to let me know if you're up for it. I'd like to get some routes in, but since my partner is busy this week I decided to just go bouldering by myself unless I find someone else to climb with.

[color=blue]Party at my place this Saturday. It is a pretty small apartment. But I am inviting anyone who wants to come down and crank on my wall and watch some vids and drink and talk about climbing. You can stay over at my place, mi casa es sus casa. Come on, PM me if you want in...

There are also some really cool bars in walking distance from my apt. If I get too many people wanting to come I'll have to make a cut off, but I don't forsee that happening.

with the current state of the PAC will there even be a GS Comp?!

uh...and...rokshoxbkr19, no hard feelings...whatever works for you. I can see it potentially working on a regional basis. But does a Pittsburg climber really care if I'm off to Birdsboro on a weeknight, probably not.

Probably not, but they might care and you might care if your partner just bailed on you for a trip in 2 days and you want to get the information out to people. And the mass email will let everyone in all areas know, so the person in Pitt might not care, but the people in Lancaster probably will. I am just trying to use all means to create a community here.

exactly... so why bother w/ email? but...who cares. I really don't.

it just seems like a duplicate effort IMHO...but...thats my opinion.

Hey guys just wanted to throw this idea out. In the Maryland/DC area we have a yahoo group. http://groups.yahoo.com/...outdoorrockclimbing/

Along with posting messages you have a calender and webspace to put pics and databases. It has a few more things than just a thread on rc.com.

Just wanted to throw that out there incase you didn't know about them. BTW they are free.
