In all seriousness, though, I'm just coming to the end of a rather nice bottle of 10yo Laphroaig. Unfortunately my next duty-free opportunity won't be for a while.

In my experience you could pay double for a bottle than what you would have at the duty free and it would still be MUUUCCCHH cheaper.

I'm really wanting to get one of those expensive samples on the mastersofmalt website.

Just to try.

I've never had one of those really expensive whiskeys, and I would like to find out what all the fuss is about.

btw, Petsfed, you can find that for ~$30 ... well, I have no idea if you can in Laramie, but I'd think it'd be under $50 for sure.

That's the drink that got me hooked on scotch. I still love it.

Its about ~$45 here. Next paycheck, I think. I've got a bottle of Glenmorangie that I got as a gift a while back, as well as a bottle of Basil Haydens Bourbon (I bought it for making vanilla extract, as it turns out), so my whiskey supply is steadily growing. It would grow faster if I could just stop drinking it all...

You've got whiskey and whisky! I've currently got bottles of Basil Hayden and Bakers 107 bourbon; and bottles of Ardbeg, Talisker, Bowmore, Laphroaig, and Jura single malts. Yum.

Get thee away from the Jim Beam products and you will discover a whole new world.

Bakers is one of my favorite mainstream bourbons.
