O.k., Given all this hilarity with the whole spandex thing (I can't say how many times I have been laughing at all this) I move that we have a Spandex Climbing Day. Everyone in the country choose their fav pair of spandex and we all climb on the same day all over North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and wherever else people climb. It will be a truly glorious day of spandex nirvana!!! Anyone want to second this? (note my spandex pics aren't up - but I did love climbing in 'em.)

Terry is probably going to kill me for this but here it goes. these two competed in the 24 hours of horseshoe hell in arkansas a couple weeks ago. Their team name - Old guys in Lycra. Terry on the left placed 3rd i think in the intermediate class, while russell competed in the advanced. http://www.lifeuphighphoto.com/oldguysinlycra.jpg

In reply to: ^^ Yich!! I just hope they didn't eat those bananas! The background to that pic cracks me up . . . it's moments before the starting gun on the 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell, and our bud Jimmy's eating a bunch (literally) of bananas, to avoid cramps later on (many of us wish we'd have done the same); and he innocently offers bananas to Terry & Russell here . . . leave it to Terry to presume it's for his pants! other than this their long shirts spared us the "almond joy," as Pawley called it. Considering that those guys got in 100+ routes over the 24 hours, people mostly saw their dust!

In reply to: In reply to: Terry's good for the garb Excuse my ignorance, but who is "Terry" and why isn't he wearing spandex when he takes part in the Spandex Photo Challenge? He was one of the banana guys. Maybe I should start a banana thread. Uhhh... no, wait... maybe not.
