The Highest Mountain in the World!!!

Mt. Everest is the tallest mountain in the world at 29,035 feet (8,850 meters). The Tibetans call Mt. Everest "Chomolungma", meaning "Mother Goddess of the Earth". Mt. Everest gets its European name from British Superintentant General of the Survey of India 1830-1843, Sir George Everest.
