About Castle Rock:

Castle Rock is a very popular area with hikers due to the panaoramic vista to be had from the top; with so many hikers/sightseers here it is important to be on your best behavior and act accordingly. That said it's also an excellent place for rock climbing with over 30 routes (up to 100') to be done here from 5.5 - 5.11d, with both sport and trad climbing available- all on excellent rock. The season extends from April to October typically, with spring and fall being the nicest.
