About Michigan:
Beautiful outoor climbing areas and challenging indoor gyms, Michigan is a great place for a beginner or seasoned climber to get their hands dirty. Consistent with the climbing community at large, Michiganders are always supportive and willing to share info, advice, and a good time.
Upper Peninsula: Lake Superior\'s shore offers great bouldering and top roping. There are some beautiful Granite and Quartzite formations on the shore of Lake Superior, especially in Marquette, that make this place worth the drive. Lower Peninsula: The Grand River offers bouldering and top roping on The Ledges. Just 10 miles west of the Capital is Grand Ledge\'s Oak Park offering almost a hundred top-rope and boulder routes on sandstone. There is also a plethora of plastic in our many climbing gyms. Enjoy the Climb.
