I need health insurance. My only sleeping bad is rated to 0. Won't need that. the laptop was a bit of a luxury, but I'll use it. I needed a new computer anyway, and I got a really good deal

Its funny how even beer brewed in Canada is cheaper in the States. Oh yeah, how as the New? It was okay. We didn't get as much climbing in as we would have liked, and it rained more than we would have liked as well. Sat. and Sunday we climbed with J_ung and Clamhead. We might have got a bit more climbing in if we had just went off on our own but maybe not. The rain really fucked things up on Sat. and a bit on Sunday. Being in a new area didn't really help either. There are a lot of slabby routes there and neither of us was really excited about climbing that kind of stuff. The climbing there isn't really what we are used to either. It seems like there aren''t any footholds and the hand holds seem way to small a lot of the time. Its a lot of friction and balance moves. I did manage to onsight Narcissus at Summersville. Judging by all the mud on the bottom footholds Jack and his crew had warmed up on it in their approach shoes recently. I got a new harness finally. Its a Petzl. I kinda had to settle with it since I really needed one. I'm not overly impressed with it so far. I never managed to get down to the New. I had mentioned it to Jay, it would have been nice to meet him. Have you ever climbed at Seneca? How did it compare? Good job on the onsight! What kind of harness? I have the Caladris, it's pretty good. I like the idiot proof buckle system...becuase I'm an idiot, you see. I've never been to Seneca. The New can be reachy and is kinda bouldery. The routes tend to have hard moves between decent stances. I didn't even say how easy that route was. I should though so Jack can come in here and say it is soft. I got the Sama. The buckle is easy to close, but a pain in the ass to put the whole thing on. The gear loops are to small too. I think their design for breathability might make it more uncomfortable for hanging in. Maybe it is more comfortable than I think. I did spend a long time hanging in it on Sat. On Sunday just sitting in it for a few seconds when Bec would get to the top of the route and was clipping in to clean the anchor it was starting to feel uncomfortable. On the plus side it has, "Green belay loop helps users identify proper tie-in /attachment point." I never have to worry about tying into or belaying off the haul loop or gear loop again. It even has pictures on it so I don't fuck it up. I think the idiot proof buckles are a bad idea too. They will just start building better idiots. It doesn't help that when you do the double check and the person with the idiot buckle says, "I can't really not be doubled back" Seneca is fun, swing by if you get the chance. The rock can be iffy at times, but overall the routes are great. Great people, too. I had as much fun hanging out as I did climbing. Never tried the Sama. that is funny about the harness warning on tying into gear loops. I always check my buckles like crazy, but the extra security is nice. And it's just a nice harness.

My Petzel Adjama seems to be holding up quite well. Biggest downside I've found, which is quite minor, is the loops seem to be off-center and so with the belay loop at the front center, the left loops are set too far back, while the right ones are set OK. I double and triple check anyway, so the speed buckle still gets checked. Habit, I guess.

Making plans with partners Reading Playing guitar Drinking beer Seeing friends Good stuff! Fixed that for you. I hope you have money left over to go travel. This was part of the budget. I need health insurance. My only sleeping bad is rated to 0. Won't need that. the laptop was a bit of a luxury, but I'll use it. I needed a new computer anyway, and I got a really good deal get the Verizon aircard, too. they're fairly fast, and work most anywhere. I'm currently riding shotgun on the way home from Cheyenne, and with the exception of a few areas I've been online the entire way. you ARE planning on stoppin in SL, UT on your trip, right? For if nothing else, the opportunity to see if I'm the donnie i appear to be? When I was making the decision about how I should equip myself with internet at home I went through the debate between dial-up, cable broadband, and a VZW air card. For my uses I could have used any one of the three and would have been fine. Though I weighed the total value of each option and in the end opted for the VZW air card. IMO it is the best decision I made regarding connectivity. As Sty mentioned, you get service just about anywhere you get cell coverage. I don't think I'll ever go back. Plus I still have the option to use wireless when available. The cool thing is being hooked into a GPS program on the laptop and getting live updates as I'm driving. My GF once did her homework on the way to a snowboarding weekend as I drived. It has been a good investment.

Even if you are sleeping in a tent you can do the blanket thing. Its pretty tough to get a chick (or dude, not that i would know on that one) into your sleeping bag and do much more than wiggle.

Consumption dropped way off with the latest increase reducing demand. So what did the gas companies do? They lowered production. The whole fucking thing is a racket! If any other business ran that way it would go out of business. But they have us all by the balls.
