:( I'd be there too, but Karen agrees that that's not the best place to take a baby, as he may get fussy and cry a bit, and that will not be cool to the other climbers. Going to Holcomb Valley Pinnacles instead. :(

Have fun !!! 8^)

awww...takin the baby climbing. i wish my parents where climbers when i was a baby and took me places like that to run or crawl around and get dirty in. i would have had a much happier childhood  have fun at holcomb. i have to visit that place some time.

a headlamp or flashlight will come in very handy if you plan to climb till dark with the rest of us or if you absolutely can't get your hands on one of those, a stick with flaming rag on the end  (please be careful with that last one thou, cuz only you can prevent forest fires)

mc82 & monkeyRob - Thanks for the suggestion but driving anywhere near LA is close to two hours. I normally go up the back way through Wrightwood which I think is faster.

Anyway, if someone happens across this thread before tomorrow morning and wants to carpool ride from SD or anywhere along the 215, give a ring. You drive, I $$. I drive, you $$.

Oh yeah, what is the latest on the parking pass? Mine expired long ago. Are they still checking and ticketing?

Last weekend no one had a ticket...its all just hit and miss. But I wouldn't worry if you do. Only $5 and you can send it in after the 'citation'

See ya up there!

Didn't read the whole thread. If this is in reference to the Adventure Pass program then don't pay. There are no reprocussions. If you pay you are essentially casting a vote that you want to pay in the future. Since I personally don't want to get 25 annual passes each year to go to the places I like, I'm refusing to pay.

its hit or miss with the ticketing...i don't have a pass either...last weekend i didn't get one...but the time before that i did. $5 no biggie. is the road from writghtwood open? last i head it was closed still. angeles national forest's website says is closed due to a rock slide and unstable conditions. i dunno if thats just out dated info or what, i don't know anyone who comes from that direction so i'm not sure. may want to call and find out if you're not sure its open from that direction.

Yea... We take him to the crags:
http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=30357
That's his first hanging bivy from gear at about 1 1/2 months.

But at just over 3 months, he's not crawling around to much yet... He's still working on developing those fine motor skills.

Hey guys!

Thanks for a great day at Willi. I enjoyed meeting everyone new and seeing everyone again that I'd met the weekend before.

I won't be around next weekend (stupid wedding in Ohio) but after that I'm good.

And Mattius (and everyone else)...if you want to come up to Oxnard for a pool/hottub party just let me know what day :)

Cheers all!

No problem, Nayan. And nice lead on that 5.9, btw. I think we should have stuck around a bit longer at Newcombs, though. Sounds like we missed a good show ;)

I wound up with someone's sunglasses: light blue "Julbo" wrap-arounds.
Just let me know and we can get 'em back to you.

Hey guys....

looks like I'm the last.
But I had a hard day, yesterday.

Thanks for that great day. It was so much fun.
--And not just climbing--
I always enjoy mud-wrestling.....
But maybe two girls next time...

Cu next time. When ever you want.

Sunday sounds good for me, too.
Just let me know.
