Hi, I'm a student at the Thompson Rivers University and I'm planning a mountaineering trip at the Wapta Icefield somewhere between Oct 15 - Oct 28 2007. I've just finished my 7-day Mountaineering 1 course and I'm really looking forward to gain some experience. I'm also willing to do a multi-day trip during the Christmas Holidays, for those of you that might be interested. Contact me at danycou@hotmail.com

Hi All, I'm planning to be in Canmore for two weeks starting Dec 23rd with the sole purpose of getting as much ice/alpine climbing done as possible and I'm looking for a keen partner. It will be the first time for me to climb in the Canadian Rockies, having done most of my climbing in the Japanese Alps. WI4/5 and 5.10ish rock is where I feel at home, and I'm hoping to be able to do some of the classics like the Weeping Wall but I'm very open to suggestions, happy to try and follow harder stuff or cruise on easier climbs as long as we're out there and enjoying climbing. I have a full ice rack and dry half ropes and will be renting a car while in Canmore so all I'm asking for is enthusiasm for climbing and hopefully some knowlege of the local ice climbing haunts. If somebody is interested please drop me a line. Cheers
