I don't know ,that wall is pretty tough. I'm getting ready to build the BIG wall thirty feet to the peak of the barn roof ,the other walls are just highball boulder problems with top ropes.

Well gentlemen another monday is coming upon us and another day to climb. Hopefully I'll be able to make it, but with my parents being out of the country all I can do is try. Dann I know it sounds like I'm chickening out, but I'm stuck babysitting So I'll try and make it, cuz i really want to get my butt kicked all night in the bouldering cave... So if everyhting permits, I'll see you guys there, if not.. catch you guys next monday

I went to the Brickyards today and the ice is in great shape!Did a little bouldering and found all kinds of new stuff to climb. There is this one line that starts out right above a cave entrance!Does anyone know why the city puts the barriers up to block off the parking lot?

No I didn't bump my head ,just thinking about a climbing trip. I did forget my helmet though, so I could have bumped my head and I just don't remember.

WOOO HHhhoooo! Me and Les had fun at VE tonight... We finished our v0+ bouldering problem and started a new v1 before we were toast. Les took an inaugural run on the red lead route. And we both climbed the new comp red route; although Les got out of sequence on his first try and popped off. Dude, you should've HAD that!

Tim was there with us and climbed a few things. He's really making some progress but dude, you gotta bite the bullet and go for the "Total Puddleness Effect". Its the only way to get stronger!

Anyway, we had fun. Jeff didn't show and, I guess I was kinda looking for him but, maybe next time.

And we are still in search of Louis. If anyone sees him at VE or REI or anywhere else for that matter, ask him to get ahold of me so we know he's good to go...

Dann

Louis has been found. I stopped at REI when I bailed early... told you guys I had a reason. Erik said that Louis was in there wednesday or friday of last week. I told him that next time they see louis to have him give us a call... probably you Dann. But he is alive and well form what it seems. And one of these Dann I'll make another full night of climbing.. just 17 yr old girls at my house with no supervision is a very very bad thing. Next time I'm going on vacation and leaving my parents home with my sister.. See you guys monday at VE.. oh by the way class was wonderful.. we watched a movie aobut free climbing the nose of El Cap.. pretty wicked stuff. done in 1 day and done by a girl.

I am planning a road trip to the VE in Duluth on the weekend of 1/24 through 1/26 if anyone is interested. I know it is just indoors, but I haven't been there yet and I hear it is a cool place.

I've been to the VE in Duluth,it's nice and has alot more routes than the other one.Stopped in one day after my vacation this past September.Spent about an hour and a half there and climbed everything I could one right after another till I couldn't hang on to even a big jug.

Well, glad "Eric" said Louis has been in REI in the last week. Hopefully he's OK then. Although, I don't recall who Eric is...

Tim said:Quote:And one of these Dann I'll make another full night of climbing..

Tim, if you never climb again, it doesn't really affect me (not trying to sound harsh at all dude, just giving you a bit-o-perspective). You're a good guy and we enjoy your company but you climb as long and as often as you wish. I'm just trying to "urge" you on...

There are a number of things a person can do to become a better climber, almost without trying.
1.Cut out sugars and consume more protein. 2.Become more active in general.
3.And when you go to the gym and pay $11, get your money's worth. Even if you're not climbing the entire time, climb until you are litterally a "puddle" as Les would say. Your arms and shoulders SHOULD be tired and maybe sore for at least the next day (when you first start). # 2 & 3 act in concert with #1; more protein available to your system and more activity and CLIMBING to utilize that protein and built/repair muscle and gain strength.

Quote:just 17 yr old girls at my house with no supervision is a very very bad thing.

O.M.Goodness Tim! She's SEVENTEEEENNN! Not 3!

Do you realize I'm old enough to be her dad? I know what 17yr olds do. I have a seventeen year old step daughter (who is a monster by the way ). She will not burn the house down if left alone for a few hours!

But I guess its a good excuse to get out of the gym early...

Check yall later!
Dann
