you may as well climb, they'll charge you the same fee for LRC to watch that they would for competing.

Only 4 more days to go. I'm stoked. The beers are cold, and the car is full of gas. I blew the toes out of my Mythos this weekend though. No time to get them resoled, so I'm probably going to have a pretty good excuse for not winning.... Hahahaha. Looking at a couple of the names on the registration list, I'll probably need a better excuse. Mabey I'll enter in the "flip flops" division. HA! If I ever organize a bouldering comp, I'm definately going to have a flip flops div. with the top 3 placers winning a pair of shoes! Travis

In reply to: lol tenn_dawg. what size you wear, you might be able to borrow a pair of mine and not have an excuse :P. as for the flip flop division, what grade are we talking, something like v0--. About a 42 I think, It'd rock if you had a pair. Bouldering in flip flops is kind of a sport all to it's own. I used to have a little circut out at lilly boulders I could do in tevas. Flip flop's is harder than barefoot, and some pretty easy problems are impossible without climbing shoes. If you find just the right kind's of problems though (no heel hooks) you can boulder suprisingly good in flip flops. (I think I've done V3) Jesus, how about this weather? I hope it holds out! There is NO better condition than 55 degrees and sunny for friction. Summer is finally over! Travis

Black 4runner with a stick clip tied to the roof. I'll be the guy drinking Natty Light like water, and possibly hitting on fat girls after a few of the afformentioned beers are consumed. I also have a pretty, ummm, 'distinct' accent. Listen for this: "Awwww, sheeeeat! I lost mah cooler!! Y'all didin take it now didja?" Hahahaha Travis

Yeah, I'll have a cooler. I don't trust comp organizers to have enough beer. Saturday night is going to be prime time for putting them down. I'm going to spring for "good" beer. Any suggestions? I've been drinking natty light for so long I don't know what's good anymore. I'm thinking Rolling Rock. Seems appropriate. joeschmoe has indeed mentioned a few home brews. Heh heh heh. Travis

for highball problems, I recommend john courage lager, for the burly roof problems a gniess stout will do such a guiness or murphys. sissy slab problems go well with amstel lite.

I'll see you guys at LRC and HP40... shooting, not competing. Did that the last two years. Since I am only in trad shape right now, I'll just be working on a photo project. Too bad it doens't matter how solid your head is on runouts when you are sit-starting V7. Good grief.
