In San Diego there's actually a route called "Butthole Express". I first heard this when a boyscout troop leader asked one of his guys if they wanted to give the buuthole express a try...I thought I was hearing things. I found out later in a guide book it's true. If I could name a hot route it would be "Wha-sah-bee"

I have always liked the route Snuggles in Garden of the Gods, Colorado. It is a 5.9 route. Pretty easy but still a funny name.

Names of my own: The Origin of Evil F**k Mondays Names that I like: The one I like the most, not because it is strange or humorous, but because of the nature of its existance from a classic standpoint; Nutcracker. [ This Message was edited by: wildtrail on 2002-07-07 23:58 ]

One of my favorites....The Pope's Penis...Queen Creek, AZ. Three guesses what the climb looks like and the likely age of the lad that named it.

I like routes with names like "Powder Puff Direct" "Strawberries and Cream" "Sweating to the Oldies" for heinous, run-out or under-rated climbs. I can see the headline now. CLIMBER SERIOUSLY INJURED WHILE ATTEMPTING "SWEATING TO THE OLDIES".

There are a set of 5.12s up here on the Seward Highway with the names "Shriek of the Mutilated" and "the Jaws of Churd." Those names are kickass!!
