Sioux City Recreation Dept just opened their new indoor climbing wall. It's located at the Long Lines Rec Center downtown, which use to be the old arena. The wall was built on the stage area. If you want more info their contact number is 712-224-5127. http://www.sioux-city.org/parks_rec/long_lines_family_rec_center.htm

HI Im coming to Sioux City on Fri 3-24 with my wife and I think we are going to climb. I have been there once and the wall is very nice, they have not had time to set routes yet but just getting to the top is fun too. We are going to come up again on tues. the 28th. To practice some lead climbing for an up coming trip. We may bring 4 or 5 people up Let me know if you want to climb.

it's ok, but for some reason there is only one person in the area that can set routes, that is a problem because there are way too many holds on the wall and the bouldering slab is weak. if they would put more money into that part of the wall. it would do the trick. but better than nothing and I don't have to boulder the bridges around town anymore and thats always a plus.

I didn't know you got over to this side of the state Troy. I work at the gym ... I'll be the first to say it needs improvements. Our "contracted routesetters" haven't shown much intrest in setting routes this summer.

Yeah, the routes need a little work. But, it's a great start. I was back there for a couple of days and stopped in. It was fun to see Sioux City have something like that and the staff was pretty cool. Growing up there was nothing like that in the area.
