I usually climb down in Missouri - Cliff Drive, and I've climbed at a few other places. The only place in Iowa I've been was Backbone SP, and that was a long time ago.
I would be interested in meeting up with you... I'll have to see what going on closer to that time. April is the middle of track season so most weekends are usually booked.
This summer I want to go on several trips all over Iowa. I also want to head back to the place where I first started climbing "Bluemounds SP, MN"!

Will let you know when I'm coming. I wouldn't think there is very much to climb in Iowa except along the Mississippi.

aulwes, when you are ready to come up to MN. let me know, I love Blue Mound SP and will be going there as much as I can this year. Also let me know when and where in Iowa I might be able to do a quick trip down there.

Hey I am planning multiple trips to Iowa this spring and summer to work on climbing training. I currently live in Lincoln Ne, and want to get out every weekend if I can and hit some of the crags in Iowa. (they are the closest distance to Lincoln) I will start in the middle of March, and work from there until summer. I would like to get in touch with the local climbers, and work on my training, and hit some routes up there. Let me know!

I hope to get together with the guys from wall-nut creek mountaineering (gym) and do a trip to Eastern Iowa.

I am going to Palisades-Kepler by Cedar Rapids on Tuesday morning. There are 3 going so far but there are at least two routes next to each other. So plenty of space for more.

Im going to pictured rocks in Montecello, Iowa with a couple friends the weekend after labor day, something like a week and a half from now. Any suggestions on routes... comments... or want to come and climb with us... just post a reply.
