The cam patent may be in the U.S only and so if they don't have an international patent other countries can make and sell from their location.

Right guys, I have purchased a complete set of one and two cams friends from these guys with the sole intention of testing them to destruction... I will test them against my existing cams and write a post script in a few weeks time. If they dont stand up to some bench testing and live testing then you will hear from me whilst my injuries are healing.... The following is a rough translation of their testing and the test benches on which the tests were conducted. I am no engineer, so can any one who has give us an input? Start The original documents about KN rates for climbing cams is on russian language, manufacturer of climbing equipment KROK still not translate it to english or any other language so I am try my best to translate it for you... If you need i can send you scanned images of testing certificates, but again - all original documents language is russian. Also if you will need the originals of the testing certificates i will be able to send all requested documents by the registered mail. --- This flexible friends (Links cams, 1axle cams & 2 axle cams) has been tested at Scientific - Certification centre "STANDART" at the capital of Ukraine - Kiev city. Date of testing is 24 May 2006. Results of toughness tests. Testing equipment is - testing machine ZD-40. Testing methodic - stepped static loading (5 kN step) with speed 5 millimeters per minute, then wait 1 minute at the reached loading level with next unloading and testing item working abilities. loading results 5 kN without any damages, item working 100% 10 kN without any damages, item working 100% 15 kN without any damages, item working 100% 17-18 kN pulling link damage, other mechanism without any damage --- Thie Stoppers (Nuts) has been tested at Scientific - Certification centre "STANDART" at the capital of Ukraine - Kiev city. Date of testing is 24 February 2006. Results of toughness tests. Testing equipment is - testing machine INSTRON-1126. Testing methodic - static loading with speed 5 millimeters per minute until unit will be damaged. # of stopper, Link damage link diameter kN 0 (1,8) 5,7 - 5,8 1 (2,0) 6,0 - 6,2 2 (2,4) 7,8 - 7,9 3 (3,0) 9,4 - 9,4 4 (3,2) 12,6 -13,2 5 (3,2) 13,1 -13,5 6 (3,2) 13,0 -13,5 7 (3,2) 12,8 -13,2 8 (3,2) 13,0 -13,4 Always link has been damaged, the stopper body without any damage. --- So above is my translation of the testing certificates. Please feel free to contact us if i am can help you more or you will have any more questions. THank you, End I will ask for a copy of the teats certs in Russian and ask a mate to translate them when I return to UK in a couple of weeks. Regards Rob

Hey, they might be ok....lol a bit like the Russian T62 compared to a Abrehams. Am sure the T62 would be awsom against poorly armed peasents, but against the Abrehams .........it sucks . Will be fun trying to break them......cant wait to get back and devise some testing plans......

But the T62 was a decent match for the M60 tanks we had then. And there were a lot more of them to swarm you under.

Cheers geeze, You are right and I must prostrate myself before you and humble myself to your superior knowledge.....but as far as the analogy is concerned? i think it worked lol Any how, I will throw myself and any one else i can get as a crash test dummy, onto loading these little gems....and who knows...... As it stands now, the RPG or the explosively formed projectile IED (what a fucking bluff classification by some half whit in the ROC office.... Shaped IED would do) is perfectly capable of disableing any advanced armoured vehicle.... BUGGER THEY ARE ON TO US....... shhhhhhhh

What about if you whack it in a crack somewhere you can take a nice controled fall (with a second backup rope for when it blows...) and put a screamer on it. As they have state forces they rip out at, it should give you an idea of it's strenght..... Infact, you could use a "non human" weight instead of yourself if it made you feel better
