Have a second tank of propane for the grill.
Consider 1/4 tank of gas to be the same as "Empty."
Put a pack of cigarettes in your glove box of the car. When you're out with your pals, it's 3 am, you're 100 miles from nowhere, out of gas and out of money, at least you'll have a cigarette.

Well that too. The steering wheel, the stick shift, and the e-brake (if its a lever type) will always get in the way if you're doing anything but driving the vehicle.
