Hey Doc, You out did your self again... http://www.dailyclimber.com Snow White:“Oh, Snow, my globes are soooo big and soooo heavy, can you help me?” Snow:“Let me feel your globes to see how big and heavy they are …” Snow White:“Oh, Snow, that’s nice, thank you” Snow:“Ms. Snow, let me ask you, what are you doing with all these snow globes?” Snow White:“Oh, Snow, after Prince Charming died in that tragic snow board accident, I decided to go to school and get my degree. In order to pay for school, I sell snow globes” Snow:“Wow! I too, am paying my way through school. Do you want to see my snow balls?” Snow White:“Oh, Snow, those are very nice balls. May I touch them?” Snow:”Sure. You seem to know your way around a snow ball (You are my morning funny paper read)

Got my snowmen today. Cute little things, the kids will love them! aja175 from dailyclimber told me there are some more holiday themed holds coming up soon, but wouldn't budge on what they are.

Snowmen are cute. Stopped by the WH office. Have you ever seen a tree decked in climbing stuff? Ropes, holds, biners ect... Funniest thing I've ever seen!!

I bought 4 myself, my mom and sister took 1 each before I've even had a chance to see them up close and in person! As for more holiday stuff, absolutely! 'Tis the season and all that crap.

aja175 wrote: Synrock will be making an appearance soon. Great to hear - I'm a huge fan of synrock holds, and I'm always anxious to add more of them to my home woodie. I hope Jim gets more people excited about his rockpod idea, as I think it combines all the advantages of polyurethane and synrock holds. I just wish he would actually list available 'pods on his website, which hasn't been updated in forever.

The rock pods are a neat idea. I'm really not sure it's something that could be listed individually on his site. It would be difficult to keep up with every pod he makes, the rock sizes and shapes are all different. The way to do it would be to list overall sizes.

I think you're thinking of petropods - those are the same poly bits as the rockpods, but pieces of actual rock in them. Rockpods are synrock molded material in a polyurethane casing - they are like any other holds, with as many different possibilities available as he makes molds. In the picture, there are mostly rockpods with two petropods (this is from one of his recent ebay auctions). For those of you who've never used synrock, its pretty nifty stuff - it's a ceramic, almost cement-like material, that feels pretty dang close to real sandstone - cool to the touch and grippy without being rough. It's also heavy as sin and brittle, like real stone, which is why putting it in a polyurethane casing is so nice - when you're cranking on the bolt to tighten it, the pressure is on flexible plastic, not brittle "rock".

Yep, you're right. I had the wrong ones. So why not call actual rocks on a pod "rockpods" instead of.. nevermind...

my cat is going to love those little stars hanging off the tree! I don't put anything fragile at the bottom because he will trash it, but the snowmen and stars are perfect!

Just a note on the petro pods. Jim did update the site on those. He also added some new large interesting shapes. He basically shows some of the different pieces that can be added to the pod and a price per pod. Love the Synrock and Jim is awesome

I haven't seen anything synrock up close and personal yet. I ordered a set of the ones on dailyclimber, they haven't come in yet. I'm really looking forward to it.

I love mine if you looks of the pics I posted of my wall it is certainly a majority of my holds. I will say some of the small edges and slopers are a bit intense for my weak hands. Jim is super strong so some of the slopers probably reflect this. But I do have the advantage of going to his house to pick out what I want which makes it nice. I don't think you will be dissapointed at all.

This one might be snug on a dog that size. This one is good to about 35" around. I have some larger ones coming in as soon as the helper monkeys finish making them, they tell me shortly after the holiday.
