Allright, here's the dilly yo.

I'm heading to Lincoln all day tomorrow, after which I'm going to the Nuggets game. The following morning (friday), I will climb in Vail. After that, I'm heading to Ouray, due to no place to stay until the 5th, I'll probably camp in Unaweep friday night and head in really early Saturday morning. I'll be there until wednesday or thurday.

Pretty much am going to be out of PM range starting tomorrow, though tomorrow night I'll probably check once more.

I've given lots of you my number, call me. Timd, Reno, RPR, and Anykine, I'll be calling you all probably on friday while I'm driving in.

See you soon.

What does everyone think about the new gear card that is linked to your Ice Park membership?

It was not in as of this past Tuesday. I can't imagine that it came in since then. Cascade Canyon has a handful of good climbs in.

seems like a good idea. don't have to give up your CC now or it gives you an extra card to borrow more gear.

of course there could be a problem if you drop it and someone finds it!

Just got to town. Snowing like hell from Cortez northward. I came up over Lizard Head Pass, past Telluride, and over to Ridgeway then down. From CO 145, I could NOT see Ames Ice Hose through the snow. Ditto for Sneffles from Hwy 62 (I think it's Hwy 62.... The one that goes from T-Ride to Ridgeway.)

Ron, Steve, anyone else.... meet at B.Tempo around 6pm? I'm needing a shower, some salsa, and an el Jefe.

Or call me at the hotel, room 202. I have no cell signal.

I'm stuck in Durango tonight because the passes on 550 are all closed as well as Lizard Head. Anyone else get stuck on there way to Ouray with this big storm?

If anyone is in Durango and the passes do not open up right away tomorrow would anyone want to go climb in Cascade Canyon?

I'm driving out from California on Tuesday. My partner (from Boulder) won't be in until Friday, so I'm looking for folks to climb with. I'm pretty much an intermediate punter, but I'm happy to climb damn near anything. I'd love to get on Ames to complete my San Juan punter's trifecta (I've done Bridalveil and Bridbrain). Don't know if any of you are looking for partners or third wheels, but I'll check for PMs tomorrow if I remember. I'm staying at the Riverside. Save me from soloing.Smile

Brian:

Holler when you get here, and you can hook up w/ us. We're at Best Western, room 123.

Matt, I drove over Lizard Head on Saturday, about 2pm or so, and it just sucked. Last I heard, LH, Red Mtn, and everything else was closed.

Dumping snow in Ouray. Lots of clearing of routes today.

I hope that the snow tonight does not make it worse. Lizard Head is always my safe route when Red Mountain gets closed. I hope one of them clears up tomorrow.

I know it's a few days out before I get to town, but are these closures between Montrose and Ouray?

Just want to see if I should be scoping out a place to stay in Ouray.

Thanks!

Well, wouldn't you know it.. I try to sneak out to Ouray before the festival to dodge all the dirtbags and who the hell do I run into but Reno, Ron, and Sharpie stinking up O'Briens Pub. Hope you guys have a blast, keep your tools out of the drywall, and leave the poor chipmunks alone! I put up some pics of the Schoolroom area from 1-5 and 1-6 if you want to check them here:

Speaking of bombing, though, I'm thinkin' our Ouray trip is on the rocks. Neither Sty nor I have any money after the holidays, and our room at the BW is so dang expensive. Sty just left to work in Moab for a few days so he's close..... I haven't completely given up hope but its not looking good Frown
