I'm a pretty ugly dude and I get off real easy. Much easier than the women I've known. Me too, usually. Unless I've had too much to drink in which case I sometimes never manage to even get on. caughtinside wrote: I was thinking today about a guy I met a couple years ago at a crag. I was climbing with a very attractive young lady who also happens to be a good climber. She is/was not my girlfriend. Anyway, the guy I met was friendly, cool, and told us that if we were back up that way again, we could crash at his place. Another time, myself and a different hot young blonde, also a good climber, gave a little area beta up at Lover's Leap to a couple traveling climbers. We saw them later on in the bar. Turned out the guys were chaco reps. They gave us each a pair of free chacos. We hung out and drank beers for a bit, and they left a little before us. I went to pay our bill later, and the guys had already covered it without telling us! This was for dinner and and a bunch of beers. Super nice. Anyway, those are the two stories that stand out the most about people being cool and generous to me while out climbing, but not the only ones. And it got me thinking... I don't think I get the red carpet rolled out like that unless I'm with a hottie! Good looking people really do have it easier! I think I need to get back to climbing more with hot chicks. The perqs are hard to beat! Yeah, I know what you mean. People offer me food everywhere I go. The bad part is that they all want to fuck me, women, men, even 4 legged animals and inanimate objects. It really is a curse to be that gorgeous.

I'm not sure how it is at other Engineering schools, but where I went...everyone knows most engineers can't speak or write for crap...I'm talking 'see spot run' quality here.
