I'm up for climbing in NC, US. I'll show you around Pilot Mountain, but anywhere else in North Carolina, I'd be willing to tag along. I don't have a trad rack, but i have enough draws for anything, and can climb up to a 5.10. I wouldnt plan on me actually showing you anything, but I'm definately up for climbing with someone new. Chris.

lol....the tallest thing in miami is the hampton inn. Sungam: save yourself the headache and the money and skip FL all together. it's a waste of a state imo (sorry FL folks. nice beaches but....that's about as far as it goes). also, this thread needs to die. it's gotten FAR too long.

Whoah, nonono, this thread does NOT need to die! Why would you ask for that? If more people are up for climbing then more people should post up. Simple as that =)

Ok cool. At Smith Rock temps really matter, because in the summer, it can easily get over 100 degrees.

So when are you actually getting to the US now? I keep hearing about passport troubles. I'm in southern California so it's an easy drive to Yosemite, the Bishop area, Joshua Tree, Red Rocks (near Las Vegas), Tahquitz/Suicide, San Diego, and a few local crags. Bill

"Passport troubles" pretty much sums it up. I finally got it all sorted though. After a quick meeting (so I could prove I was who I said I was) and a showing of ID's etc. at the US Consulate General in Edinburgh my passport is now in transit to my current location. (almost) everything is set- I can't wait! All that talk of having to take guns to crags for safety is leaving me a bit nervous of what to expect, but I know that it's gunna be a real adventure. The time frame (how manby times have I said this?) is two weeks, except this time I think it's actually two weeks and not "two weeks".

Well, ohio isnt exactly amazing for climbing, but i do know of some decent bouldering spots, and im a few hours from both red and new.. so if for some reason you make it out to the dayton/cinci area, your welcome to crash as long as you need, i have a couch and a bouldering pad, no spare bed..

I'm definitely stopping by in ohio. I've just gotta meet this MaddHatter character in real life I'd love to get a bit of bouldering in with you, or even a wee trip to the red or something.

I got a six pack (your choice) that says he's a really nice guy and much more intelligent sounding in person than online. Only caveat is that you have to get here to collect.

If you'll be near Oklahoma or Arkansas I wouldn't mind taking you out. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We have a few local bouldering areas. (Opening scenes of "Frequent Flyers" vid shows a few problems at Chandler Park.) Also about Arkansas' Horseshoe Canyon Ranch: I head up there a few times a month. You can see the place in Dosage 3 & 5. If you're interested in going to either just shoot me an email at Ryan00013@gmail.com (I check my email more than RC.com)

Hit me up when you get to Colorado Springs. I normally don't talk to strangers, but god dammit, you post so much I have to see if you can actually climb! :)
