Really though, are all climber dudes douchebags? As most of you are guys on here, what's your opinion of yourself? Douche or not a douche? And what qualities define general douchy-ness? Go!
Well I saw briClimbs post as well. Have hope all though many climber are doutch bags there are some that are nice guys. Useally the nice ones are the trad climbers, but a very small amouts of sport climber are ok too.
When you go looking for a new BF that climbs ask him why he climbs. If the answer is somthing like " I climb for the love of the sport and I like the outdoors." he is proably OK But if the reply is like "dude Climbing is totaly redical and extreame!!!!! I crank out 13bs before breakfast. Check out these guns!!!!" be very weary of that person, it just reaks of doutchbagness.

I feel like this is some solid advice. Cocky climber=douchebag. Noted! And wonderwoman, I agree with you about climbers generally being good people. I've recently gotten involved with an awesome group of climbers and they are all super nice and kickass.
Also, let us all spell douchebag properly. Take this as a lesson, and not as a mark against you :). D-o-u-c-h-e-b-a-g. Geez I hope I got that right, ha. Otherwise, I look like an ass.

It's always the right thread for a Dutch Bag! I'm proud to be a Dutch Bag for one. All Dutch climbers are Dutch Bags btw.

luckly i'm not total n00b. a few years ago i had an account on here. then i stopped getting on since i stopped climbing and then had a shoulder injury. by the time I went "hey i should back on rc.com," i had forgotten all the info i used to sing up. tried all my email addresses i could remember and couldn't find it. so i just created a new on and started over.
so no i'm back to n00b on rc.com and am now taking my licks as all must do.
such is life.
(totally worth it tho. I get hours of entertainment and useful info from here)

Sure was, still am. But now I'm back up north working at a hotel, and when it's dead quite I nip on here. It's how I used to roll before I got, erm... carried away. Anyways, yerppa yerppa, climb climb.
