nice. so how'd it go?

It was nice to get out...but other than that, conditions were pretty crappy.

The Whitney trip was a flop. We stalled at the first creek crossing. Powder snow on talus. The trees were bent down over the trail. We couldn't go under them and couldn't go over them.

We then spent the next two days doing skills. I felt pretty bad for the clients. They flew in from Arkansas.

After that I went up to Bishop and tried Bassin Mountain. Conditions sucked, so I turned around on the second morning.

Then I went to Lee Vining. Looked up directions on Summit Post. The directions tell you to go South. I went South, postholing for 3 hours. I was led on by the ice I was seeing on the cliffs and the thought of "maybe around this corner".

When I got back to the parking lot, there were climbers there. You're supposed to go West.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

That blows.

In other news.

Made a 15 mile out and back over the weekend. Pushed 15 the first day to soak in some hot springs. It was worth it.

LOL XEmacs!

I got a jorb offer with Active.com for Java/jsp work. They seem to be a little more supportive of people with an active lifestyle than my current crappy jorb. Still not the awesome work from home jorb I was hoping to get but this one is really close to the gym!

Duck tape can only save them for so long...

You bums need to get jobs.

I have a job, but me using tape on my shoes is worth it just to see that photo ^^

Good point. On second inspection I noticed the wizard pajamas Magnus is wearing. Just one more thing to mock him about...

excellent observation. let the mocking begin.

Mammoth area. There's a bunch around. The ones we used to visit in Hot Creek are now too hot and fenced off.

We did Sylas' birthday party yesterday.

I even allowed 2 boas, a bunch of lizards and a tarantula in the house.
