Im gonna be at CR in the afternoon or early evening tomarrow with a buddy of mine, if you can some how get out of work. Ill be set up somewhere between "dont stop till you see the whites of my eyes" "Militant Right". I be at CR and wed and thurs i hope too.

WideG, I promised cody I'd take him swimming when I got home today, also the kids have been home all day alone, I need to get in some parenting, since their mom is still off on the romantic getaway.

How's The Van?
Rumney was awesome, although I was not at 100% due to lack of sleep. Led a few 5.8's to warm up, then got TOO warm and had to take a dip in the river.
Afterwards, we found a .10a that Mark led and I got halfway up but felt too tired and dehydrated so rather than risking a bad fall (this climb is blocky) I bailed.
We then blew ourselves out TRing a .11b. I was 2 moves from the top!! Friggin' crux!! Next time I'll send it while I'm fresh and strong.
All in all, a great day, albeit a tad hot....

Definitly pencil me in for QQ on Weds. I'll be there probably about 6:00.
Anyone want to make a run to Rumney on Sunday? I've never been, but I was looking at the routes database last night and it looks awesome! I'm thinking leave early Sunday morning and come back late afternoon. Hell, I could probably even be tempted to go up Saturday noon time and camp out if anyone is interested.

Hey Rob bring the chillens along if need be man. It's never too soon for then to learn to subordinate their happiness to the whim of their father! :D :wink: As for my wicked B1tchin' new FLAT webbing, I was figuring just a quick square knot to tie the ends and away we climb... what's all this business about 10" tails and overhand backups? Seems like alot of hooey to me!! :wink:
Tonight at college shouldn't be a problem. That AMC thing is a rotating site kinda dealeo. I'll see if i can find the link and double check.

Somehow I doubt you climb much below me. It's probably the other way around! I only sent More Money once, and that was a fluke I'm sure. So whatever you want to rope up at QQ on Weds is fine with me... I've never even been there before, so it's all good to me!

In case I haven't already told you ... I got a teaching job in Marlboro for the fall. I start in late August. I'm looking for 2 bedroom apartments in the marlboro/framingham area. looks like i'm going to turn into one of these college rock fools. 8) There's multipitch trad there right? Jeremy! LOL! congrats on the job dude, look in Milfiord/hopkinton too, it's a half hour ride from mawlbro. I work in Snobbury, nice easy commute.
you're gonna laugh, but on the 4th I actually SAW a guy lead the juggy fissure to the right of excersize left to the reader.
got together there tonight with Wideguy & Wannabeaclimber, also met Jim ("binerman" from the yahoo.com nerockclub group site) and climbed again with Matt and Kristen whom we'd met there on the fourth.
also saw Mike and Amey, who are CR weekly regulars. Had to thank Mike, if it wasn't for him pulling hard on the rope and giving me the big hangdog time to scope the moves a week ago, I wouldn't be cruising Excersize the way I have been since.
Me, Matt and Kristen wouldn't let Wideguy bail on the top of the late september combo (he'd cruised the bottom half to the ledge, gonna quit, NOT!), and so he got himself up the rock nicely... you were at the anchors dude, another move 'n you woulda been above the biner.
'nother good night on the CR granite! you c'mon down jer, it'll be a good time ;-)

Me planning to bail was not ENTIRELY me being a big wuss bag. I had told Matt I only wanted to see if I could repeat the opening ledge even before I tied in. It was pretty freakin dim and he was gonna pull his anchors and I asked if I could just do that short section. Didn't want to impose. When he said I could continue I was all good with the idea. I shoulda pushed for that last couple feet but I was pretty fired and couldn't see the next foot move in the dark well enough for comfort. Next time I'll nail that and then try to work Send Money. I wanna nail that before the end of July.
Jer, sorry man no multi pitch trad sorry but at least the Sox didn't blow it, so that's something :D
Looks like rain this evening so my three nights climbing this week will be cut to two nights. DAMN!!!! :evil:
