Out of curiousity, what the hell is going on with all of these "I am doing a project for school and need your information for research" threads going on lately??? This is like the third or fourth one this month that requested a lot of personal information for people to be posting for the sake of "research" or a "project". Is it mid terms or something?

And what kind of project is this info being used for? Just curious that's all.

And when oh when will this be moved to community  ?

that, and/or it's a disguised excuse for people to spray and a tool to screen for the single peeps of desired age and location :)

and maybe find the gear sugar daddies/mommies too? :P

HEHEHEHE!!! And here I was thinking I was the only one using the "what is your height, weight, onsight ability and pullup range" thread as a chance to scope out and check out some personal stats on people. Like "hmmm. I never woulda guessed he was 6'2"/200 lbs....might have to click to see if there's a profile pic"

$/yr spent on equipment: err, no idea. average it out over the time i've been climbing: several pairs of shoes, a trad rack, a sport rack, a couple ropes, crashpad, ice tools + boots 'n such (and does technical clothing used only when climbing count?). probably somewhere in the ballpark of $150-$2500 per year. yeah, i'm a gear freak/whore :)
