Yup, always gotta think about the 5 W's. Wind Water (runoff from rain (flash flood!)) Wildlife (dont put your tent in a bear's den) Widowmakers (dont put your tent under big dead branches) And i can't remember the last one... Oh well, probably wasn't important.

Great to hear she pulled through. Sounds like quite an ordeal. I actually thought about putting my tent under a tree, but thought better of it because of the wind. I don't think I'd have had any problems like that, but who knows??? Scary stuff.

So, if lightening doesn't strike the same spot twice - surely, neither will a tree

Wow! Normally I wouldn't say what I'm about to say, but it's a good thing it hit her in the head, seeing as how she's pregnant that could've been a really bad scene. Glad to hear everybody was ok, makes you wonder if it was luck or something else.

It really makes you think... If when that tree fell in the forest... What if neither of you were there... Would that tree have made a baby? Praises for your wife. Best wishes to the little seed. ___________________________________________ editted to add emoticons [ This Message was edited by: kindredlion on 2002-09-25 19:24 ]
