Well folk, I know you missed my constant interjections of wit and wisdom - okay, maybe I hoped at least one person noticed I hadn't posted in two whole days (a record for me), but my wife has finally given birth to our third child - a son!! Baby Joshua (yes, after Joshua Tree) was born Wednesday morning at 12:08. As some of you know he was a month and a half early and is doing great. He weighed 5 lbs. and is 18" long. He is now off oxygen and should be able to come home sometime today. I thank you all for your support during the long and tough pregnancy (Compclimber, Talons05, Beerandblood, et al.). Jen, my wife, is doing just great and it is nothing short of a miracle that all is well despite the premature birth. Thank you all for your prayers. Another climber has just joined the ranks . Mick

Thanks all, Jen and I both appreciate it. You guys are the reason why I love this site. Here's a picture of him before they got him off the oxygen (that's the hood thing) and still had him hooked up to everything. Mick

Hate to inform you, but geocities doesn't allow linking to images. They're evil that way.

Bummer, it comes up for me. Well, here's the link: http://www.geocities.com/rck_climber/babyjosh3.jpg If it doesn't work, you can copy and paste the link into the address bar to take a look - if you're so inclined. Mick Again, thanks all for your support - it's truly appreciated. [ This Message was edited by: rck_climber on 2001-10-05 13:07 ]
