i know there are some bolted and TR routes and tons of good bouldering probs. off of sandwich notch road in campton/waterville valley but i don't see any of them on the route listings.

yeah thats the stuff, the boyscout corner was the first climb i ever did, wearing my brothers harness,jeans and a pair of adidas samba's
needless to say i didnt do very well.

A few years back I was teaching Outdoor Education, and Sandwich Notch was one of our favorite trips. If you poke around a bit (bring a headlamp) there are some cool passageways that connect under the boulders. Some of them are pretty extensive.

oh yeah? that area along rt 49. is my stomping ground, i plan on doing some winter camping up there once i fix my car

Plan on ski or snowmobile access to the Notch this time of year.
Preferably ski.

yeah, well i planned on snowshoe access to my camp
and since i dont have alot of expierience with winter hiking i'll keep it simple and probably snowshoe the welch-dickey loop as opposed to say osceola or tripyramid

Osceola, approached from the Kanc, is an awesome winter hike. Steep, but usually packed out, and you probably won't need snowshoes.
Careful atop the slabs on Welsh-Dickey. I nearly lost a kid off of those in Summer (at risk teens know everything; NOT!)

yeah this summer we tried to climb up the face of what is considered the half way point of welsh....its no where near vertical but still steep as hell....we made it about halfway up and took a little break and then when we continued on we made it about 10 feet and almost got stuck, in that we couldn't move forward and the move back was sketchy as hell
i am wondering how good the trail blazes are in the winter because once you get abouve treeline they paint them on the slab, i imagine they would be covered in snow........worse comes to worse i will just bring my maps and compass and do some bushwhackin' back to my camp.
