JB I'm not saying that's the case here, but one of my best friends had a girlfriend like that, pushing him out the door on climbing trips and what not, because it was easier to cheat on him when he was out of town for a few days. Just sayin'. I think I'm going to get a new water filter (mine says PUR on the side, and its been acting up lately) since REI doesn't carry my preferred brand of small cams, and I don't want another #6 C4 just yet.

I just picked up a 70 meter mammut tusk. I have the stoke. I paid all my tuition with the REI credit card. So basically, I only bought a hat at REI this year and still got a 239$ dividend.

Not as much as last years but still $198 mostly from REI visa. Now i dont know what to get! I have a double rack from yellow master cam through #3 camalot. Was thinking of adding ascenders, #5, #6 C4's. Maybe offset mastercams. Maybe a pink and black tri cams, new thermarest? so many possibilities. Though the dividend is stating to run itself out of climbing gear at REI as they dont carry pins and other aid gear i want. Guess ill have to find a job...

It's cute when people subtract their REI dividend from what they're spending. I mean, the dividend is as good as cash; all you have to do is ask for it as cash. REI does a great job though of making people feel like they're saving money by combining the 20% off coupon with the dividend on something they wouldn't have bought otherwise.

I got cash after I only spent 1/2 of my dividend. But really how hard is it to cash back if your dividend is only $28?

A new rope. Either sterling or bluewater. I'm still researching though. Also, I really want to get some of those trigger wire biners...I dunno if REI has them or not though.

Sterlings are better ropes but bluewaters are cheaper. Don't get those triggerwires, they serve no purpose and will probably be crappy clipping biners like the rest of the mad rock line. And update your blog once in a while!
