Since I've been pointed to this by this thread (Books...), I'll revive the thread. Actually, the nearest book to me only has 28 pages, so I'll go with the second nearest:

Nope, the Conservation Code has nothing to do with the environment, energy efficiency, or building materials. All the Conservation Code deals with is fire protection and egress.
