I was wondering how the climbing in the Los Angeles County is during the winter. (January/Febuary) I haven't been to California so I would like to know if you can climb during the winter, I'm hoping to take a trip this January. If someone could let me know, that'd be great!

Man, I don't know, today it's so frigid cold out here I had to wear two t-shirts. Brrrrrrrrr.

You're good to go - smog has insulative properties.

It's LA, so you'll need a beanie and Uggs. If it's really cold, you may need to put a shirt on, too.

Thank you! Do you know other places in California that would be a better option to go to climb in January?

For sport climbing, New Jack City. Two hours northeast of LA, with routes 5.6-5.13. January average high/low is 60/30°F! http://www.weather.com/...nthly/graph/USCA0650

Hardly any rain yet! Knock wood. Last Saturday Echo Cliffs was way warmer than expected during the day, but cooled down fast after about 3 o' clock.
