Actually I enjoy power bars, but a friend sent me this and I just laughed and laughed. My favorite is mushing a banana on top of a chocolate. Any other good recipies out there ?!? How to tell a Power Bar from a Dog Turd Power Bars cost $1.25. Dog turds are free. Power Bars have shiny wrappers. Dog turds don’t. A fly will eat a dog turd. Have you ever seen a fly eat a Power Bar. Dog Turds get slippery when wet. Power Bars come in five delicious (yeah - right!) flavors. Dog turds only come in one. Dog turds won’t damage your lawn mower blade. The jury is still out on Power Bars. You won’t find Power Bars all over your favorite hiking trail. Dog turds are made of naturally occurring substances. Dog turds are biodegradable. There was no Dog Turd International Women’s Challenge this year. You don’t have to go to Idaho to tour the Dog Turd Factory. You can’t use a dog turd as an emergency shoe resole.

chocolate power ball dipped in creamy peanut butter. My favorite is the Whole foods "Whole Kids" brand creamy PB? MMMMM yummy And to your list: Dog turds don't shatter @ 35 degrees when dropped.

I take them on all my trips... have to cook them in the oven in the winter (front pocket) or else I might be gumming my next tasty morsel. In the summer (here in Phoenix, I have to keep them insulated on my bottle of ice or they will just turn into the power gel. Actually maybe that's how they came up with that goo stuff.... hmmmmm

In the winter up here in Alaska if you have a powerbar in a exposed pocket it hardens up so hard you can hammer nails in with it :P ...

Frozen like this, they also make fantastic weapons (hitting someone over the head, or if you get good, you can chuck them a good 10 yards and fend off the fiercest animal or annoying person)

banana chips are just dried slices of banana... they are really really yummy and can be picked up at your local grocery store in bag or bulk, or you could go and dry em yourself with a dehydrator or convection oven.

Hey that's funny. Yeah, that totally artificial but suposed to be good for you food is really gross when it comes down to it. But hey, what's not gross when it comes down to it?

From my bike racing days: Powerbar = "Feces in Foil" I remember that triathletes would peel off the wrapper, then stick the bar onto the top-tube of their bike. It would stick there until they wanted to peel it off and eat it. In all seriousness, the morning before a race I would usually have an irritable stomach. Powerbars (especially the Malt-Nut flavour) were the one thing that would cause the least upset. I'd never have to worry about them coming up. A close second would be anything oat-bran based.

well.... if no one (aside from me) has tried one of pb's new flavors, rasberry & cream.... do yourself a favor and grab a dog turd instead. After a climb this weekend I ripped into what sounded pretty good )I actually like the berry ones) and this thing was soooo nasty I couldn't even finish the first bite, much less the whole freakin' thing !!!!! ugh... I can still taste it now :x

I think they changed the formulation last summer. They don't taste as bad as they used to. Still, that's not saying much. Try the Black Cherry Almond Cliff Bars. They are delicious. Don't try the Cookies and Cream. It is the worste tasting bar I have ever tasted! I am amazed at how much of an energy buzz you can get off power bars, and how quickly you can fall off to completely wasted.

I know Luna bars are supposedly made for women, but they're the best tasting energy bar out there! I've started eating them over anything else and they havn't made me menstruate or anything  Also, I bet the dog poo is better for you then the powerbar...

Cliff bars rock! I like the chocolate chip version. I may be weird, but sometimes I like the carrot cake. Apple Cherry is good too! I have to agree that the cookies and cream tastes like my armpit after a day of climbing. Peace, Jeff
